"Family Is Everything"

I love growing up with my family in this county and watching my beautiful grandkids grow, we have watched change but always made sure out family can continue to enjoy it the same way we have.

Long Term Resident of Garfield County

As a long term resident and member of Garfield County, my roots run deep in this community, and it’s an honor to continue serving the place my family has called home for generations.

Husband and Family Man

I’m happily married to my wonderful wife, Suzan, and together we raised two beautiful children right here in the community. When I lost my son too early in life it profoundly impacted our family. His passing drives me to do something meaningful with my life—not only in his memory but for the benefit of other families in our community. I’m committed to ensuring that families can continue to live here without struggling, with the support they need to raise their children and thrive. The community's love and support during our hardest times inspired me to run for office. To give back in Court’s honor, we host the annual "Ropin’ for Court" rodeo series each summer, and the Carbondale Wild West Rodeo presents the "Spirit of Court Will" award, keeping Court’s cowboy spirit alive and ensuring his legacy continues to make a positive impact.

Outdoorsman

As an avid outdoorsman, I’ve always cherished the mountains and natural beauty of Garfield County, where I’ve spent countless hours exploring and enjoying the incredible landscapes that make this place so special. During my 43 years as a game warden in Garfield County, I had the privilege of learning this community inside and out, building a deep connection to its land and people. From reintroducing turkey's, being responsible for installing hundreds of miles of wildlife fencing, protecting wildlife and motorists, checking thousands of tags and much more, those experiences gave me a unique perspective on the importance of preserving our natural resources while also supporting the families who live here.

Active Community Member

As an active community member, I take pride in being involved in local events and initiatives, always striving to contribute to the well-being and growth of our vibrant community.

I love spending time with my Grandkids. I want them to be able to live here and enjoy Colorado the same way I was able to. Colorado is our home and I want to protect our way of life not just for our sake but for our families and generations to come in the community.

I do what's necessary to put a chicken in every kid's pot, or keep the thing out of one!

I’ve always had a deep love for the outdoors, and growing up in Colorado, I found my calling early on. For 4 decades, I served as a game warden, a role that allowed me to both work and enjoy the natural beauty of our state every day. During that time, I had the privilege of protecting our wildlife and natural resources, while fostering a strong connection to the people and communities I served.

After decades in this role, I decided to expand my efforts and serve in the Colorado State Senate. There, I aimed to make a greater impact for the entire state, ensuring the values of conservation, community, and responsible growth were at the forefront of my work.

Now, I’m looking to bring my experience and passion closer to home by serving as a county commissioner. I believe that, through local leadership, I can make an even greater difference for the community I’ve been proud to call home for over 50 years.

I look forward to meeting you, your family and hearing what you care about to better serve you.
